Guideway efficiency

Because of the efficient rail brake, the RUF guideway can handle a large number of seated passengers per hour through a very small cross section.

Since there are no standing passengers in the RUF system, the vehicle can be very low compared to traditional busses and trains. The passenger flow per square meter of cross section becomes very large.

On a normal train line, the train tend to be used most in the middle while the ends of the line often have a lot of empty seats. In a Dual Mode system like RUF it is easy to change the length of the train so that the size can match the demand very well.
